Since you don't really need the hardware encryption option I would suggest that you check out WD Elements Portable. It's a great portable drive that works safely and quickly: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=69EALv

For desktop drives I can suggest WD Elements Desktop and WD My Book. Both work pretty good and are safe to use:
