You should find the same model RAM to avoid any compatibility issues.

Or Buy Dual channel kit from Kingston or Corsair. And sell your current RAM.

Technically any SODIM DDR3 RAM should work. But some times you may have problem with compatibility.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

As I told you before, Technically it should work. But when there is two different brands, you may face problems like compatibility issues.

That doesn't mean that it won't work, It will work. But I'm not sure entirely.

you can install any DDR3 stick of RAM(of the right size) and it will work fine 99.9% of the time, this is the whole point that DDR3 is a standard. I've mixed memory in various systems, and my laptop even came with mixed memory, with no issues at all.

generally speaking you want them to be similar: same size and clock speed. yours said 800MHz, which is actually 1600MHz effective (Double Data Rate)

my desktop even has one dual rank module and one single rank module and still has no issues.

there are sometimes compatibility issues, especially during overclocking, but I've found them to be pretty rare if you aren't overclocking, undervolting, or modifying the default timing

thanks:) i was a bit confused by the fact that it only said 800 MHz and the different timing on different speeds. Thanks for the explanation!
