Read me - New Build problems

Michael95

Hi, I recently built a new machine for gaming, this is my list of components used

Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB GDDR5 Dual-link DVI HDMO DisplayPort PCI-E Grpahics Card

Intel Core i5 4690 3.50GHz Socket 1150 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 Socket 1150 VGA DVI HDMI 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Corsair Hydro Series H55 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

HyperX Blue Fury Series 16GB 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM (Kit of 2) Memory

With an 700watt PSU to power it all

My problems have been with running games , i will be able to play about 15 mins of a game then it will glitch, drop frames so it is completely unplayable ,

these aren't on what i presume to be power hungry games they are well optimised, for instance Dota 2 being my current binge game, now i check all the settings and temperatures

of the GPU it hasn't been overclocked, it stays at about 31 celcius, and CPU is about 35. however the gpu does use the full 3500 + 500 mb of Vram which i wouldn't expect it needs to

any help would be great, if you need more information please let me know, i found these setting details out by using MSI afterburner

the 960 doesn't have the 3.5+0.5 issue - it's a different core. How the hell is the memory leaking so bad btw?
What PSU is that?
