Sounds good, get an OC on that CPU and your score will be much higher.

Here's my best score for reference:

Nothing is wrong, look at my clock speeds.

From the sounds of it, you haven't overclocked anything yet.

Well, with a 980 that overclocks to ridiculous speeds yes.   I was 2300 mhz higher on my memory than stock speeds, and 1609 mhz on the core.

But once you OC the 980 TI, you'll be much faster than me :P

Is it possible to get those scores in my build?

You should be able to get ~20-22k GPU score, and around 16-19k physics score when you push everything.

Overall score probably 16.5k-19k give or take.

To break 20K with a Ti you need a 5960x over 4.5ghz and a bios modded 980 Ti over 1550bc

You should be able to get over 17000 overall. On mobile so i dont have a link to my score but my best is 17200 or something around that with a 4770k at 4.5 you most likely wont get around my graphics score (22246) got pretty lucky with the silicon lottery on my card

but with that processor you can destroy my combined and physics scores and should be around 17000 or so with an oc on your CPU and a mild GPU overclock

970 SLI.. Shoot for it

q

Is physics low because of low cache?

When I was going for 750 ti records with my 5820k @ 4773 I was getting about 19.3k physics, but then again I think I had cache at like 4.2 or 4.3

I really dont get why your card can get such a substantial lead overall when we bought the same card is it supposed to be luck?

Because he overclocked it much higher, your card is probably running at around 1350-1400 whilst his was at 1560~

Download MSI Afterburner, or EVGA PrecisionX, then open it up and start tuning.

On "GPU Clock Offset" you can probably do +50 to start out, then try testing it on firestrike again.  If it doesn't crash, try +100.  Once it crashes, back off the speed a bit.  If it crashes at +100, try +75.

After you find max core speed, you can start messing with memory.

Core speed says you were at 4760.. that's not stock :P

Unless you are talking about stock cache, in which case that makes more sense :P

+75 stable should i try +100 again? Does this make my GPU's lifespand shorter?

It shouldn't effect that whatsoever unless you're pushing stupid voltage through the GPU.
