Im overclocking my cpu to 4.7ghz, want to test the stability. i tried aida64, and LinX, and on LinX for some reason my cpu goes to 90+ degrees on msi afterburner? and this is on 4.2 ghz, idk what the hell its doing to my cpu but under load whilst gaming @ 4.2ghz it never passes 60

Aida 64 is what I use because it puts the CPU under 100% load. Keep it running for a while and it should give you the results you need. I would say do 24 hours, but if you are anything like me, you would want to use your PC before that time is up, so overnight is a good option.

So is it stable in games or not? AIDA 64 will always result in higher temps because it's a complete usage scenario, my GPU runs about 20 degrees cooler in games than in benchmarks too.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Microsoft Apple Valve Google Facebook Oculus HTC AMD Intel Nvidia

I'm using this data to judge this site's biases so people can post in a more objective way.

so far in all games i played (crysis 3/witcher3/titanfall) @ 4.5ghz 1.28v load temps about 70-75, played for about an hour or so, stable. ran aida64 for 35 mins, peaked 76 degrees stable, idk if 35 mins running is of any accuracy at all though.
