GPU clock speed

I was looking at some specs on GPUs and the thing that i don't understand is the clock speed. Sometimes its like 80 mhz or so. Like the MSi GTX 960 OC and oc is overclocked but its only 1178 mhz and the Gaming 4G is 1241 mhz. Does the clock speed really impact the FPS? Like 10 FPS or so? Also, wich brand deliver the most power in the GTX 960 series?

Don't buy a 960. Get a 380 instead or save up and get a 390.

With NVidia GPUs though, I like MSI and Asus for their coolers. If you just want a good GPU, EVGA makes good ones too.

Seriously though. If you're just gaming, get an R9 380 or 390.

EDIT- to answer your question on clock speeds, yes, it will impact gaming, but not too much. Higher is always better, but if it has a good cooler you can always up that clock speed anyway.

No, with such a insignificant increase, like 80 MHz, the performance different is generally very minor.\

It is much lower than your expected 10FPS; realistically, anything in the range of 0~3 FPS.
