Yes it's pretty much just C, using their SDK. You will feel at home if you are familiar with C. They have an basic IDE you can use to upload your code to your board easily but you don't have to type it in there. You can use some like visual studio if you want to type it up. I think there's a way to upload from VS as well but don't quote me on that. It's pretty easy to get started just follow some of their tutorials even if they seem incredibly trivial to you just try them out and you'll learn fast.  Have fun with your new toy!
