So my birthday is coming up and im thinking of asking for an ssd. thing is i have to get it physically from a store (dad doesnt like buying online) so is this ssd any good?

can you buy a prepaid card and use fund from that to buy online? you bought it from a store still...

i also happen to have a frys gift card with like 35 bucks in it so i would use that

i mean frys does have 850 evos they just cost like 109 bucks for a 240gb one and adding tax and a warranty that's a bit too pricey.

Its fine. Nothing spectacular about it. 

 

I tend to go SamSung or Crucial

It is a good, middle of the road SSD.  It will do what you need to do and fairly speedy, tho as you might imagine it won't be the best of the best.

Buy a prepaid card. like one of these. They come in many amounts like they have cars you can do custom amounts. They will usually say $25-$500 on them. This one is just a $25 one. And only buy from trusted online retailers like Newegg, Amazon, Frys, Microcenter, NCIX ect...
