Yea that's a low end G31 chipset board not really designed with overclocking in mind. There's a silicone lottery on the northbridge as well for 775 that helps determine your overclock.

what mobo you got?

 

your mobo may not be able to support that OC

 

also check your RAM speed

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
