windows xp backup tool

i just need something to back up the whole drive, so i can go thru it later when i need to instead of having to wait for some hard drives from 2005.

i have an actual pc with windows 10, i just found an old pc that i wanted to back up to a modern portable drive

Whenever I had to backup XP (happened a lot last year) I just did this:

 

Plug in US / external HDD (depending on the size of the drive in your machine)

And copy everything on it I needed.

 

With XP, that usually means you just C: and leave out Windows files, programmes and so on, since I think XP didn't have that nice "documents" stuff newer Windows has going on, right?
