I don't think you will gain anything from overclocking cache, much in the same way as not really gaining anything from overclocking RAM.

how cache works is that there's 3 levels the first level contains the least amount but because of that it's the fastest and as the levels get higher more the data but slower the speeds, it's basically faster ram that contains less space built into the processor below the cores.

so if you can overclock the speeds and not the free space, perhaps temporary disabling some free space and you know how much cache the cpu needs to run fine then you can, but the difference won't be noticeable.
