Hey LTT, I've been looking to buy a new keyboard since I've been using the razer deathstalker for almost a year and am not very happy with it at this point. I was wondering what you guys use, and what lighting option you prefer. I can touch type and don't look at the keyboard often, but lighting looks pretty and is tempting for the extra money(rgb vs white/1color that is) Thanks for voting! Oh, andfeel free to drop a few tips/comments/recommendations

RGB. It's backlit when you need it and if you change your rigs color scheme you can match your keyboard to it.

Id just get the RBG model anyway, its not like you wont be able to just leave it at one color anyway.

The K70 RGB is arguably the best RGB keyboard on the market.

I really don't understand the hype. Who the fuck needs to shell out another $60 so your keyboard looks like a rainbow. (I know you can choose a single color)

i have a K65 RGB and love it. I just turn off the LEDs during the day and at night i turn them on with one of the 3 levels of brightness that it provides. This way i can always change the color scheme if i get tired of the colors or to get it more inline with any setup change i make.

Certain keyboards don't offer RGB color but make up for it with quality and other more useful features, as well as not costing an arm and leg.

The Coolermaster Quickfire TK for example, tenkeyless but has a numberpad like section of the board, solid color lighting and genuine Cherry MX Switches. All for less than 100 right now.

Can someone explain to me why everyone just LOVES the RGB keyboards? I can see that its pretty cool, but I wouldn't go spend 30 extra dollars to get a rave party on my keyboard. You would just need one color backlighting and that would be just in case you needed to type in the dark. Half of the time, you dont even look at your keyboard anyways. But I guess its the same with LEDs in cases. Its to show off your build...

if price doesn't matter then it is sure RGB, cause you can use it to have one colour or turn it off. if price matters but functionality is still priority then 1 colour just cause it is better to have it when you need then don't, and if value is what all that matters then non backlit

Simple, because if you are not 5 years old or unemployed 30$ is nothing and rgb does look kinda cool.

RGB all they way. Trust me you get bored of just one color after a while in my case green for like 4 years.  The back light is a must especially for people like be that cant type with out looking down every once is a while.  I also dont really care about all the different color effects you get with RGB. I just pick a solid color, apply to all and call it a day. But being able to pick what color is the nice thing about RGB.
