Help choosing audio setup!

I'm after a head set, mic and sound card. i'm thinking i maybe want a separate head set + desktop mic so i could use the headset with ipod? or maybe not possible because of amplification issues

Headset - needs plenty bass, will be used for primarily gaming, movies and studying

Mic (if separate desktop mic is your recommendation) - just get the job done decently at reasonable $$$. I actually have a crappy microsoft 'livecam' in a drawer somewhere that i could maybe use

Sound Card - current desk speakers sometimes hiss and pop, not sure if really needed actually

will be making purchases primarily from:

http://umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=2

http://www.mwave.com.au/

So what do you think?

i'd like good quality but not completely break the bank

Trying not to have a specific budget, but i'm just sick of skimping out and having to buy stuff again.

I just want good stuff but not like excessive, I'm a student, you understand

maybe off the top of my head
headphone/headset = <$250
mic - cheap
sound card - $100ish or less

Headphones (not headset! stop it!):  Audio Technica ATH-M50

Mic: Zalman One or that shit in your drawer

Sound Card: none

There. Done.
