I have to get a friend a birthday present and wanted to get him a microphone for his computer so he could have better voice for when he's talking. The problem is that he likes to use speakers and hates headphones so I'm worried about the game sounds mixing in with his talking into the microphone. Does anyone know any solution to this so he can have a mic and still keep his speakers without any interference?

Budget is $100 Canadian and the mic that I was looking at is the Blue Snowball.

So long has he has the mic close enough to his mouth, he can keep the gain low, and it wont pick up the the sounds coming form his speakers too much.

Depending on what game(s) he's playing, it might turn down the volume from his speakers when he's talking anyway

Eeh, by gum.
