Worst friday ever... nothing works

Today I send my SSD to RMA so I am just runing Ubuntu on my LiveUSB which is not persistent so I cant store anything on it. I had no clue it will work like this I just wanted something to work for 30 days. So I was looking for some old HDDs at home and found one old 2.5" Seagate so I decided to throw Windows on it but I couldnt figure out how to make bootable USB from Linux so I went to borrow fathers old laptop just to find out that it suddenly stopped working... Power is ON but I get only black screen.. no BIOS no anything... I popped out battery and disconnected it from power and went to hold down power button for several minutes and then tried to boot up but no success. Also I found out that the battery is leaking chemicals so I can basicaly go and throw it out. Then I finaly found way how to make bootable USB from within Linux so I decided to throw the ISO on my old second USB where I have photos. But I dont want to lose those photos so I wanted to back them up on my phone.. however Ubuntu doesent want to recognize my phone at all.... so I cant do it. I am out of strenght.. I go sleep. Had to let my frustration go out.. I hope I will manage to fix at least something tommorow.

If anyone has any suggestion that would make me possible to make that laptop work as it is priority right now please feel free to tell me. It is ASUS N52DA. Basicaly only black screen as if it was turned off. Caps lock is ON and cant be turned off. HDD is spining. Lock LED is ON. Fans are spinig... I was using it like 3 hours ago just fine.. Google revealed that a lot of people have this same issue so I tried some things that could do without disassembling but it is late night so I will let rest for tommorow.

Oh my god.. I can't take that notebook apart because head of one screw is totally messed up and there is just hole so my screw driver has nowhere to catch it.

I have here PC for repair which I tried to turn on and get it work at least long enough so that I can make bootable USB but when I turned it on it started burning in flames....
