right guys, this may seem like an odd way to do this but its what i have spare. basically i have an old timeswitch for a central heating unit spare in my garage. i know i can boot a computer as soon as it gets current from a power source, but seeing as this computer with be a 'nas' is there an easy way to shut down a computer at a specific time in the day?

To schedule a shutdown

 

And, depending on the motherboard BIOS, you can set times on when to start.
