Final Thoughts?

COTW

Some guy is selling a 4 month old Gaming pc with boxes and receipts for all components for 850$ Canadian currency

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/fZHkQ7

I managed to get him dropped down to 750$ plus a trade with my Fx8350

So i will be paying 525$ and my FX8350 for the build.

I know i could just pay the 750 and keep my Fx8350 and put it in the build but i'm really not to worried about that right now i just want to play Dayz/Runescape/League of legends. Thats all i will be playing.

I could always upgrade to the fx 8350, or i could upgrade later and switch the mobo/cpu and go intel.

I think i'm coming out with a decent deal, what do you guys think? Also what do you think i should do for future upgrades?

Imo you should get it because although you're downgrading on the processor and GPU (probably) you'll be welcoming a lot of upgrades in the future. (Ya know, something for that watercooler to actually use)

Better save money for a better build that you make yourself.

FX is dead and does it really need to be that case?

Well i'm buying it used so yes it has to be that case what's wrong with it.

Fx might be dead but i don't have the budget to buy a new pc with an I5. So at the moment this looks like a good compromise.

CPU and GPU are a little weak for a $750 CAD build.

Main PC: i5 4590 @ 3.5 GHz ♦ RX 480 Armor OC ♦ 16 GB DDR3 ♦ GA-Z97-HD3 ♦ 120 GB 840 EVO ♦ 120 GB Intel 520 ♦ W10 Home

Scrapyard PC: Xeon X5460 @ 3.8 GHz ♦ HD 7870 ♦ 8 GB DDR2 ♦ GA-P35-DS3L ♦ 80 GB Intel 320 ♦ 160 GB WD Caviar SE ♦ W10 Home

The GPU is shite

Well there is room for a GPU upgrade in the future just like everyone elses build.

Do you not think that gpu is worth while for the price and to last me about a year

The only demanding game i'm playing is Dayz... nothing else.

You could build your own with an i3 and 380 for that price.

What exactly about the build is bad?

The Processor and Gpu are not the greatest.

The case is a terrible plastic mess.

The Power Supply could be better.

If you feel like paying 575$ is worth it, then go for it.

But you will need to upgrade all of those things mentioned (minus the power supply) very soon.

Considering the fact that it would be $1300 brand new...

If you decided to buy those same exact parts.. The dude who orginally made it did a terrible job selecting parts.

Also, you aren't getting it new. We don't know what shape the computer is in.

I guess, but if the seller says that he has all the retail boxes and receipts then he could RMA/refund any part that is faulty. He could also just check before he buys it to see if the temps are fine/it's stable through tests and that there's no physical damage.

General benchmarks like.. I don't know too much DX but maybe stuff like Unigine Valley and such for the GPU and prime95(?) for CPU. Also, inspect for any physical damage to any of the components.

By the way i ended up working out a deal with the guy to only pay 525$ for the build, and not having to give my 8350.

1300$ in parts for 525$.

He had an ad up for someone to fish network cables from his basement and since i work for an ISP i could do it in less than 1 hour so worth for me :) ( i do that type of work every day )
