Need an AC Router UK £100 ish, (max £150)

ShadowCaptain

Thats just wired router, which I dont want, I want a wireless router, I already have my stuff hard wired that isnt on wifi with various gigabit switches etc and I can always add an access point there later

one review says "You will need a good understanding of networking, firmware updates, and command line configuration", which I dont.. so I would rather just get an Asus/Netgear/TP link box that I can just plug in etc

Well, if u know how to do simple stuff, it is quite easy...

Also, as I have already said, u will need a separate access point...

There is basically no such thing as a "wireless router" There is a router with a built in access point...

There is really nothing positive to cram as much shit as u can in one package, it's better to just have them as separate units :)

I don't, if its more than connect up an Ethernet cable, I am pretty much reliant on reading the manual :P

Sure but thats the industry standard term for the combined device, and I really don't want them seperate, its just neater and easier for me to have one box

I know its not "the best" but a £50 dual band router is better than what I have now, and I do not rely on wifi for my main PC, Server, or any important equipartition, I just want to stream to my shield and use my iPad around the house without shitty signal

Im sure I could afford and set up a top end router and multiple access points, but I cant be arsed, and I dont need it

if a £150 box off the shelf does it, which is easy to use does the job, then I will just get that
