Strix 970 Locked voltage?

Hello boyz, i noticed that when i raise the voltage up on my strix 970, it stays always at 1.1212v

Is that normal?
Ps : Trying to get 1540mhz stable

Yes, it's normal. It's the NVIDIA Greenlight program that keeps AIB partners from unlocking voltages on NVIDIA cards. To be correct, it's 1.2125v

You can move the slider to the max basically Nvidia has physically capped the voltage on their cards nowadays so it basically stays within a certain voltage even if you increase it more. Try just keeping temps down and having the power limit as high as it can go since GPU boost is kind of an automatic overclock so it will go as high as it can.

That's strange. My EVGA 970 SC ACX2.0 is locked to 1.2000v. In AB and Precision, it has the option to add up to 37mv but in reality, that doesn't do anything and it still runs at 1.2v.

Because of LLC. Graphic cards have Loadline calibration too, and you may disable it by flashing a custom version of the GPU BIOS. Skyn3t on overclock.net is a beast with those custom BIOSes. However, that's just precision in reading the voltage. 1.21 or 1.20 won't change your card ability to overclock enough. It's something like 10 MHz at most.
