I have a laptop that I use for work, school, and general webbrowsing And I recently upgraded my main setup's monitors so now I have 3 decent dell monitors that I would like to connect to the laptop for excel sheets and paperwork(running your own business means alot of paperwork.)

The problem is the laptop only has a HDMI and a VGA and I have 3 monitors that I would like to dock it to... BUT! then I found this thing: http://www.amazon.com/Coredy-Graphics-Multiple-Monitors-1920/dp/B0129CP6BO/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1443576433&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=USB+to+VGA&psc=1

If I am understanding correctly it should allow me to connect an extra monitor no problem right? It should act like I just have a extra HDMI on my laptop?

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

You're going to be powering 4 monitors off one laptop... Hope your laptop has the horsepower to do that

3 monitors because the laptop will be hidden under the desk. It shouldn't be a problem. It handles the laptop monitor, and 2 external just fine so why wouldn't it handle 3 external with the laptop turned off?

It'll die in like a month, and you want to run 3 monitors off a laptop? You'd be better off getting a dedicated desktop

I have done it before. I just want to add another external, and turn off the one on the laptop.

I would love to have a desktop but I do not have the money or one laying around that will suite my needs.
