Overclocking using Catalyst

Go to solution Solved by Fatelinha,

I did not knew it could do that... I use Sapphire TRIXX

I see plenty of how to overclock guides using MSI's Afterburner but nothing on using the Catalyst Control Center from AMD.  Anyone using CCC to overclock their card? I set it to 5% over on the voltage and clock and it seems happy but I'm throwing darts LOL.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

OK, that program is pretty good but it does let you get in trouble. AIDA64 didn't show an issue with stability but 3d Mark did. Just as a reference to those out there I'll post my begining 3D Mark score before any overclocking, and the one I just did at 1100mhz on the GPU and 4.6GHz on the CPU. If anyone ever says overclocking is a waste, show them this LOL.

Must check this out. All I remember is that it allowed raising the power limit, and core/memory OC. Can't recall overvolting controls in catalyst.

Ah, excuse my noob behavior. You're correct, it was just the limit.

No voltage control in CAT, better to use afterburner for the over vaulting.

you can get good overclocks just using CAT, but to get higher to need to up the vaultage with afterburner.

I also find with my cards i can overclock the memory a shitload, from 1375/1400 all the way upto 1700+ and it still be stable. this also gives me a nice performance boost.

I have a theory that my GPU cores are bottlenecked by the memory on my cards.
