R9 280 OC Temps

it's fine - the max for the 280 is 85*C

72c is totally fine.

I think that is fine as well. My brothers' 280s run at about 40-44c on idle with an OC.

34*C idle for me - but I do live @ 20*C ambient (I like cold ^_^)

34*C idle for me - but I do live @ 20*C ambient (I like cold ^_^)

What's your ambient temp/ Is or are your graphics card fans getting enough air?

Idle temps aren't much to worry about since it's dependent on ambient temps and fan curve like my Sapphire sits on 50C idle because the fans completely shut off but it doesn't really get any higher than 72C on load

There seems to be a trend with R9 *80 cards and 72*C xD - get that as a max too

How long should I run the stress test to ensure that I have a stable overclock??

which test? just run games - if you see artifacting or crash reduce it or up voltage

So should I not worry about Valley or Heaven Benchmarks??

If you see artifacts or crashes ANYWHERE - back off the OC
