i bought this psu and have been using it for a while now. i was wondering if there is a way to make the fan spin slower or any way to make it be more silent overall. this is the only fan in my build i can hear from about 10 feet away

You have three options. Live with it. RMA it. Replace the fan.

ive had it about 6 months now so i assume its past the RMA period.

It could be due to high temperatures in the case.

i wouldnt think its high temps because everything else runs coo and there is plenty of air flow.

i tried flipping it from fan down to fan up it didnt help.

corsair warranty coveres that I think, try and find out. I hope your retailer is reasonable and doesn't accuse you of breaking the product yourself.

As long as you have a warranty you can RMA something (to whoever the gives the warranty (in this case Corsair offers a 5 year warranty)).

you can go on there and disconnect the original fan connection and connect it between the +12v rail and the 5v+ rail ... that would give your fan 7 volts ... if it is you gave rma still or anything like that ... do that first . another option is to use a more quiet fan or solder a resistor on the +ve wire to the fan.

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))
