Nice build, just change the NEX psu to a g2/gs from evga and maybe get a better cooler if you plan to overclock

The site has changed....

Why did you downgrade his build so much?

Thanks but i think ill stick with the ti, over the ssd and cooler:)

Smart choice. The 960 is about 60% slower than the 980 Ti/Titan X

Throwing out an AMD option. 2 390s will beat out a 980ti where applicable, and a lot of the AAA titles nowadays utilize dual GPUs pretty well,  the single GPU set up is going to cause less headaches overall naturally though.

Also it saves you some money down the road if you pick up a Free-sync display over a G-sync display, the difference is around 100 pounds apparently, so however much money that is to you. the difference here is $300.

And with DX12, the 2 cards should beat out a 980ti a bit more as well.

Plus you could always throw in an SSD later.

This has completely thrown me aha! would the frame rates be similar in general?   but i would think the wattage needed to run this along with the heat must be a bunch more than the ti. if it is just by lets say 5-10 frames surly i should just go with the 980 ti and sli those when i can? what im trying to say is this build dosnt seem as efficient? But i havve no clue aha! thanks for the tip im going to have to go research numbers!

Bit lower scores than those, but the difference can be pretty wild from game to game, on average it's probably something like 20fps more.
