See how much you can get for melting and then try and sell the on Craigslist/eBay for a higher profit you would get on the melting process. If no one buys it you can always melt not like you're gonna lose any money

Well a small insurance company recently went bankrupt ... they had 9 computers ... The most "powerful " of them had a Celeron and 2 have windows 95

 

You don't think that might be why, do you? :P
