Hey guys,

So I was planning on buying the Digital Storm Aventum 3 but when they FINALLY released the thing last week, I saw that their starting price was $5k... yea, no.

So now I'm building my own in preparation of Fallout 4. [emoji4]

Please let me know what you think. Let me know of any concerns you might have with what I selected or am missing. Is the PSU overkill? Will the custom GPUs fit in the case? Will the CPU cooler fit in the case above the mobo? Are the case fans enough or should I buy one? Any negative opinions on any of these parts? Etc.

I'm considering getting 16gb of ram and not 32. I only selected those because I am going for a red build, and well those are red. Couldn't seem to find any 2x8gb red stick selections on the site...

Honestly that list is pretty bad for the money... I'll edit in a few minutes with something way better

Well that's why I need opinions. If the 5960 is overkill would the 5930 still be overkill or should I just get the 5820k? This system is primarily for gaming however I do multi-task often but not a ton.

Either get a 1080p/1440p monitor and one 980ti, or two 980tis and a 4k monitor. Don't get an 8 core i7 because most of the power is wasted, and the IPC isn't as good as Skylake. Either way it's likely going to be super overkill for Fallout 4

I would do more like this

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

To run a game like Fallout 4, this build is EXTREMELY OVERKILL.
To run it on Maximum settings (I can't really be sure considering it's not out)  I bet a i5-6600K (or whatever it's called), 16GB DDR4, and a GTX 980 would get maximum settings at 60FPS on 1080p (or higher??)

Lets assume you want to play more than that, I will try to make a PC list to go as high as reasonable.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

I'm crazy...  You definitely don't need this much power in the PC, but I shaved off $700 and got a 400GB PCI-E SSD inside. with 4TB of HDD (in Raid 1/0) a 6 core CPU, and a almost blackout theme up until the two ASUS STRIX 980 Tis.

It's Crazy.

Hey I really appreciate your time and suggestions. I love the mobo you selected as well as the case, so much so that I have selected them for my new modified build. The all black theme is sick. I have a few changes to your build and in the end I'll be saving $1k. I've been out of the pc gaming world for quite some time and NOW I'm finally starting to realize I don't need to max out every damn thing to play current gen games.
