Hi Linuses

As it stands right now I'm tired of my mobo barely POSTing at all and having to leave my computer on indefinitely if I want to guarantee being able to use it, so I'm dropping it off at my local shop for troubleshooting and I'm suspecting I'm just going to have to replace the motherboard as a result.

Onto my question, what should I look to replace it with?

Current specs:

Should I just get a 2011 socket DDR4 board and replace the RAM at the same time? I don't know if there is a consensus on Asus products currently, but quite honestly I haven't been having any luck with them despite my friends' swearing by them... (this isn't my first Asus product that is failing, assuming that it is the mobo that is at fault)

Anyhoo, I appreciate any help you can provide as I haven't really been following the hardware developments since I built this rig back in late 2013/early 2014. Bear in mind I just want something to tide me over until the rest of my hardware breaks down/gets old etc etc. I'll probably look to build a new rig in 2 years or so.

Thanks Linuses!

Pia
