I wanted to know if it would be safe/smart to wire fans to a wall insted of puting all  the money into buying the adapters and power supplys..?

um with a 5v 1000-2000mah adapter yea, but fan to outlet, try it and see what happens.

i generally use an old nokia charger if i want to power fans from the wall...

Yea I was gonna do something like that, it seems easy just wanted some thought.

I did that when i's , I think 6 or 7. The circuit breaker popped, that's it. Ha.

those old bricks generally are insanely low wattage tho, so the first time keep an eye on them to see they dont overheat. (they can take quite a beating tho)

I don't really understand point of having PC case fan connected to wall socket directly. You already have mobo, PSU and possible case included fan controller for powering case fans. And all using single power cord. Where's the money waste in there? But using PC case fan as regular fan, sure. If you have skills with electronics.
