PSU shortage

I've made my own custom LED lighting mod. it's ok all the time the but when i'd install the on/off switch i forgot that i'd tap at the wrong cable. it begun to short and make some smoke. but when i remove the switch and test again it's ok again. what should i do after shortage like that? should i make the system rest? or it's ok to use again? need answer ASAP

The PSU has short circuit protection so if it was a dead short, it would shut itself down and not harm anything else, just double check your connections on your stuff next time before plugging things in.

resting won't change anything and since it seems to be working it may be fine but it is best to get ur computer checked

If it still works, go ahead and use it. Those things have protections for that kind of stuff.

before i test the tap switch. id remove the power cable on my hard disk. but the 24 pin power cable on board was tucked in. for now i'm not trying to boot the PC x) but i'll try now. good luck to me. haha thanks for quick response guys
