Pcpp

5820k $378.99

6700k $369.00

Not much difference in price. Single thread 6700k wins for its high 4ghz clock. Multi-thread, then 5820k wins for its multiple cores. Skylake is new, but when is comes to performance haswell-e is the better option.

Look at 6700k and 5820k.

The lowest scoring 6700K is clocked at 4.7GHz and has a CB of 990. Lowest 5820K clocked at 3.3Ghz has a CB score of 1000. Difference in clock speed between the two cpu is 1.4GHz. Proof that 5820K, even running at 1,400MHz slower than the 6700K, due to more cores, it can obtain a higher better score. Now if you look thought out the list. In order for a quad core to be in like in very top half of the charts, where more of the 6 cores are, it needs to be at a very high OC. The only one I see is a 4790K OC to 5.6GHz from it's stock clock of 4GHz.
