Singleplayer or multiplayer?

Divinity: Original Sin is a pretty good game to play with a buddy.

Preferably multiplayer

If you like the ARPG, Diablo like's Torchlight 2 is great. I have been playing the newer Shadowrun's lately have been enjoying the hell out of it. Deus Ex is epic, if you don't mind old games also Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale. I haven played the new Wasteland but have heard it is great. There is so much out there it is hard to say FTL is my favorite game of the last few years.
