This is the first build I've ever done. I'm looking for feedback and suggestions as to what I should change or add to make it better. I'm going to use it for gaming, and I'd like to keep it around the $1500 range but I can go a bit further if the upgrade or change is worth it. Thanks in advance!

When you are in a situation and you need to ground yourself. Use a balloon or a glove and that will help :) Good luck !

If you're willing to go with AMD , I'm gladly to make you list that is cheaper that you will like, without losing performance.

Welp here's my usual suggestion

6700K + 390 with the capacity to crossfire in the future if you ever get into 4k gaming

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zcsQHx

Also just use linux *wink* *wink*

Overall you're going to probably want a 390 over a 970 for DX12, we now have 2 benchmarks confirming that AMD is gaining a fair amount of performance with DX12, a 390 keeps up with a stock 980 in Fable Legends.

Also if you're just gaming feel free to get a locked processor, they're usually a fair bit cheaper.

Here =) I did some modifications... Of your budget allows you to take 16gb of ram go for it, but you probably won't need as much. I went with black and white theme. I left you CM Hypee 212 Evo, but if I were you I'd go for be quiet! Dark Rock 3 :D

Nice build, but the processor won't be good for overclocking, but it does turbo to 4 GHz, so I guess that's enough.

Noticed you did not put any mouse on the parts list.

I personally think that a good mouse is way more important than a good Keyboard

I tried the Rival from steelseries, Really liked it

Anyway you should look into that, there are a ton of options.

Good luck on your first build !

P.S.: Maybe checkout the Mionix Castor, looks awesome, If I didn't need all the buttons that the Logitech G600 has, i'd probably Go with that !

Project Mercury : 4460 | EVGA 960 FTW | 8 gb | 650 Watt PSU | 240GB SSD | 3TB HDD | Custom painted Evolv ITX

I actually am upgrading from an old gaming laptop, so I already have a Razer Deathadder, but I'll look into what you suggested. Thanks!
