Windows 10 USB tool problem

I downloaded the media creation tool on my little brother laptop cause I just build my pc and I need the usb to boot up windows 10 pro setup. I downloaded it ran it. Selected my options and USB(8gb). It's now been on "Getting a few things ready" for 6 hours. Is there a problem or does it actually take this long?

Windows 10 hates certain usb flash dives, so an error it likely can't recognize it

try updating your BIOS. That may fix it.

Okay download it as an ISO the use rufus to put it on your USB drive.

I can't download the ISO it does the same thing

u can create an iso from the downloaded files using the following method
