How do you like this?

I hope to build my first computer soon and I've been doing research for ages and know a lot (I may have an ego). This build has a budget of $2600 AUD. Remember - before you go crazy about the prices - this in Aussie dollars. The exchange rate is stuffed and there is taxes etc.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K $369

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler $119

MOBO: ASUS Z170-AR Motherboard $259

HDD: Western Digital WD Green 2TB $109

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO Series 250GB SSD $149

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 Gold Power Supply $159

GPU: Galax GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB $999

Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Mid Tower Black $169

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury HX426C15FBK2/16 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Black $199

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24D3ST 24x DVD Writer $20

Network Adapter: ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless N PCIe Adaptor $23

OS: Windows 10 Pro $30

Extra Case Fan: Noctua NF-A14 ULN 140mm Fan $36

Extra Cable: Phobya SATA3 Cable with Safety Latch 30cm Black $6

Total: Around $2600

Peripherals:

Monitor: ASUS PB278QR 27in Widescreen IPS Monitor $649

Speakers: Logitech Z130 2.0 Speakers $29

Budget for the peripherals: $680

I think I have the best possible parts but I want to see what you think.

Thanks.

Edit: Anyone know how the airflow would be? Like would it be positive or negative? Because I'll use the two Fractal Design fans at the front then use the Noctua fan for the exhaust. The video card would also be a blower style type. I don't know if the Noctua fan would be to fast at moving airflow or not. Thanks.

CPU / GPU combo is great and the rest of the build looks good. Only thing I would change would be the extra HDD, games will load very slowly off that, I'd switch it for a 1TB WD Blue / Black if you can afford it. Also I have the Z130 speakers and they're actually awesome for thirty bucks!

Hmm, well I would like all that space and I have the SSD to put my favorite games or games that have long loading times.

I have a headset for gaming but those speakers would be for normal use besides gaming and listening to music. :)

Well, as I've stated "I have a headset for gaming but those speakers would be for normal use besides gaming and listening to music." So they're not there for any gaming or music. Also, I am not buying from Amazon and I don't think I can buy them in Australia.

HHD needs to be changed to black if u want to play games from it, and galax gtx980 ti... get it from a better brand like evga or asus, they are cheap for a reason. Speaking from experience.

Yes I know Galax isn't one of the top tier partners; but this is a reference card, so it would be the same as other ones. There is the gigabyte one, but it comes with with a sticker on it and costs more (I know I could probably remove the sticker but meh).

The design is the same but doesn't mean the quality is the same. T_T

Nvidia supplies the designs you think they have the capacity to manufcature so many cards? most of these cards are contracted to be manufactured with different electronic factories in china and other countries. I only know ASUS actually have factories under their name... This is how all components in the IT industry works. Designer companies are not manufacturing companies.

here's a question I can get a gtx980 Ti from colourful for less than $600 why do you think that is possible?!

Also u think a reference cooler by it self can get eough mark up for companies to slap their brands on it and sell ... ? if you do i have nothign to say...

Man, all these responses and no one mentions the adapter? If you're going to be playing online, you're not going to be happy, I speak from experience.

you need a better adapter, if your router won't take advantage of a better adapter you need a better router and adapter.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yes and no, that's a N adaptor, you need a AC adapter for gaming. But that means you need a AC router so as to take advantage of the AC adaptor. Cost me almost 400usd to upgrade my router and adaptor to AC but it was worth every penny. With a N router and adaptor your Ping is insane and your downloads take forever.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

In my current laptop I have an "n" type (AR9485). In games I seem to get fine ping or playable ping at least in my opinion. On www.speedtest.net I got a ping of 23ms, which in my opinion is very good. I also think my modern and router is the same. My internet speed is also around 10Mbit's so I won't see a speed benefit.

Exactly what I had, then I tried to game on my brand new freshly built uber powered gaming rig. I "could" game, but no one want to be that guy with the massive pocket loss in the room. Best option is to hard line, but I understand very well that's not always an option. You could also see how it goes. I found biting down on something helped with the pain

Hmm, I think I'll go with it and if it doesn't well, then you'd be right :P. And yes it is partly because of the cost of it. But it would be useless to spend that money to find out it wouldn't really matter. But, thank you for your concern and I'll deff keep it in mind.
