onboard Graphics not working

Go to solution Solved by Joemoma,

Figured it out guys! thanks for the input!  for whatever reason when i take the Graphics card out now it decides to default back to onboard... not sure why it didnt do it last time.

Hey everyone, So here is the problem. i have some old HP Compaq 6005 computers and i'm trying to rebuild them.  But they came with simple PCie Graphics cards (ati radeo 7120035100g).  The reason i am not using them is because i do not have the correct cables/adapters for them. So i pluged the VGA cable from my monitor into the VGA from the mother board.... NOTHING displays, not even POST, so there is no way for me to even get into the BIOS at this point

Things i've tried:

- removing CMOS jumper

- removing Radeon Graphics card

- Removing Radeon Graphics card + flipping CMOS jumper

So anyone have any solutions???

Doe the motherboard have some kind of battery to keep bios settings saved? If so you could temporarily remove it if flashing isn't working assuming as ronnie said the motherboard has onboard graphic support

your 100% sure the board supports onboard graphics?

yes, i have 1 Compaq 6005 without a Graphics card that POSTed for me while plugged into the Onboard VGA

Maybe onboard graphics has been disabled in the bios.

Yes i know this. but i cannot get it to display anything to even see the Bios to be able to change it. thats my problem

i'll take the battery out for a while and see if that resets the Video output priority.  and yes i have an exact model just minus the Video Card and it POSTs from the onboard VGA connection
