@STRMfrmXMN is just necessary on these posts. For a while, I have been having Windows install issues, and I have been blaming it on my ssd. However, three ssds and much troubleshooting later, I don't think it can be the ssds. Could the install error "windows doesn't support booting to this device, please check that the devices drivers are enabled in the bios" be linked to a broken sata controller? If my sata controller is broken, could the drives still show up?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

God damn you never get a break....

 

Is Legacy USB supported in the BIOS?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

have you set the Intel controller to AHCI mode in the bios?
