Really? From the reviews of the XFX 300 series I'm under the impression they are fine.

I guess I am used to using an over the top watercooling loop though. The sapphire triple fan cards would DESTROY the XFX cooler though. the XFX cooler on mine was pretty loud and ran at like 75 degrees while under the load of a standard game. The "Ghost Cooling" thing is just basically a metal plate with no fins that is thermally attached to the videoram and is under the GPU heatsink. On the HD7950 from XFX, this metal plate also cools the VRMs. On the 390x, the VRMs (thankfully) have an actual finned heatsink.

Hmmm - 75*C is fine really. As for noise - you can always reduce fan speed. Sapphire is worlds better I agree :D

Still - the 290X ran at 80*C and VRMs at 90*C - this is quite an improvement in my opinion.

75 in my opinion is too hot. I like to have things running at a maximum of 70 degrees, which my current rig (used to) accomplish. But I will say that the cooler is good enough, but it is not really that good.

Lol - then Thermi is not for you :D

480 used to run at 102*C ^_^

But yeah - 390 and 390X are fine up to 95*C so it's fine.

My Vapor-x hits a max of 72c, I'm with you that cooler is better. I'm a bit OCD about it.

Which is always a good thing. 130w TDP CPU hits no more than 65 on LOW fan speeds

48*C max for my CPU ^_^

Silent fan speed.

my cpu is right after the gpu in the loop. But my temps are pretty respectable for a cheap build in an mATX case

380 is much newer (GCN 1.2 as opposed to GCN 1.0 on the 280X) thus has MUCH better Tess performance, supports things like Free-sync, True Audio, Bridgeless CF and such.

The thing about streaming is that it relies on a CPU, not a GPU usually. an i5 is what you'd need for a proper stream.

what do u think about a i5 4690/4590k ?

so tell me do u pref 380 or 280x?

I try not to be a fanboy, I don't always succeed but i do try. If I could only keep one thing out of my entire build it would be my 4690K. It's the little processor that could.

4460 or 4690K - those are the 2 main options. If you want to OC - the "K" chip, else the 4460.

I'd take a 380 over a 280X - lower temps, quieter, newer stuff, better Tess.
