Small CPU Cooler

SirMonti

Im looking for a better cooler than the stock for my 4690K but want something similar in size.  The 212 Evo is larger than I would like.  Is there one that has good performance  but not as large?  This is purely aesthetic, I built in the H440 so there is room for a large cooler.

Looking for $40 or less.

You can use watercooling if you really want it not to be big. Otherwise personally I would go for the Vortex 211P.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

but it's taller

but does it have the same cooling potential?

It's good enough if you ask me. Can keep an i5 cool.

Silverstone Argon AR06 or Noctua NH-L9x65. They have the same cooling capacity(I have both). Noctua one has better building quality, while Silverstone is cheaper(less than $40).

I also just found the Cooler Master GeminII M4, does it look good?

looks like this might be the one, thanks!

Noctua NH-L9i is barely better than the stock cooler. You can't overclock your CPU when using it.

No need to read review, because I have that cooler as well.

Then I may go with the silverstone and replace the fan with something that works with my build

I move my 4790K to an itx build. Running at stock speed with turbo on. The NH-L9x65 will max out at 68-70*C(22*C room temp), NH-L9i will run 7-8*C hotter.

Unless you really need a very short cooler, I won't recommend NH-L9i.

It uses 92mm x 14mm fan. If you want to use other fan. You will need to find 3mm screws of the right length to secure the fan to the cooler.

I can vouch and concur on this, the NH-L9i is only about 2-5C cooler than stock performance; though much quieter. The 4.5GHz OC I had on my 4690K using an NH-U12S had to be scaled back because temps were getting way too high.
