Hi,

I want to clean install Windows 8.1

When selecting "Advanced mode" you can choose the drive you want the OS to be installed

to. When you hit "new" it creates partitions out of one drive - is this necessary or can you

just choose "format" --> format it to NTFS and then install it on this?

I'm follow this guide:

--> from 4:13 min.

Thanks.

Cheers

Windows 8.1 / i7 4930k / ASUS P9X79 / Gigabyte 770 4GB / Corsair H100i / G.Skill 32 GB 2133mhz RAM / Cooler Master V850 / 250 GB SSD C-Drive

Hi there, if you want to completely wipe everything off you HDD or SSD then format and install, if you wish to keep windows on a separate partition on your hard drive for reasons like keeping your games/photos/videos in a separate partition so they are easy to find ect, then create new partition

Hope this helps
