Microphone and speakers?

Hello everyone! I'm looking for a microphone recommendation. I own Logitech G35 headset but I hate sitting almost whole day with it on my head so I thought I will try buying a standalone mic!

The main problem I'm worried about is my own pc sounds - mic would be used 99% of times to voice communication (mumble/teamspeak) and ocasionally shadowplay recordings.

I was looking at BLUE YETI BLACKOUT. I don't want to blow people's ears with echo or my game sounds but I also dislike having headset on.

It would be set in this config: Me->keyboard and mouse->MIC->monitor with speakers underneath.

Anyone has tested this kind of setup and can speak from experience?

I really like the G430 headset, sound is great and the mic is pretty good.

Up to you though.

Any of the regularly recommended mics will work just fine. Blue Microphones and Audio-Technica are all good. Come up with a budget for mic and accessories (ex: boom arm, wind screen, ect) and then get the one that has the features you need that doesn't go over your budget.

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

That's the main idea.

I think you'll have a hard time finding a mic that won't pick up noise from speakers. Noise canceling mics like the ModMic typically come in a form factor for headset use, not desktop.

Best chance I think would be to get a dynamic (or even a shotgun) mic mounted on a boom arm to get it close to your face. Then you can turn the gain down, and use a noise gate program. NoiseGator is a good one

That or glue a modmic to your face
