Hello everyone. I'm building a new computer soon and had a question about the effectiveness of the 212 evo during over clocking of the 5600k. I plan to do a slight over clock to 4.0GHz. I was wondering if the 212 evo could be enough to accomplish this.

6600k, Msi 980, Msi gaming m5, Corsair 8gb ddr4, Raid 0 Samsung 850 evo 250gb,1tb WD Black, Noctis 450

Check out Gemini II Ver. 2 S524 from Cooler Master as well. Believe it or not, in comparisons it performs the exact same as a 212 Evo, and is a "low profile" CPU cooler. AWESOME choice for a mATX form factor, that can't support the massive height coolers.

I have a Noctua NFA14 140mm fan on the heatsink on a 5820k.

Results:

Stock speeds, idle: low 30's Celsius.

Stock speeds, 100% load: mid 60's Celsius.
