Tablet for note taking and/or note taking app

I currently have the Galaxy Note 8 that I use to take notes on (through Papyrus), but something about the experience bothers me, but I'm not exactly sure what.

It may be that the pen is kind of small, or that there is a very subtle bit of lag when writing, or maybe it's just not quite as accurate as I would like... Like I said, I'm not exactly sure what about it bothers me.

So I'm looking for recommendations for other apps I could try (and/or other tablets that may be better for note taking).

In terms of other note taking tablets, I was looking at the Dell Venue Pro 11 (with an i3 used for $250~). I use the tablet solely for taking notes on, so a good note taking experience really is the priority (although Wacom tablets don't really do anything for me).

My brother is in IT and bought Dell Venue Pro 11's for a doctor's office. They hated it! The pen's only worked half the time or if not at all. I would use a lot of caution if you are considering the Dell Venue Pro 11 for hand writing. The Surface 3 might be something you want to look into.

If I'd use the SP3 for more than notes I'd consider it, but I just can't get one cheap enough.

Good to know though.

Have you tried a notepad and a pen? I think this is actually the best note-taking tool, and this will always win all other tablets.

yes, for years, but I prefer a tablet instead.
