I bought a custom built PC off of craigslist a few months ago. Since I've gotten, it's had troubles with turning on after having no power. If the power to it goes out or I unplug it from the wall at all, it will not turn on until I go into it and unplug every wire to and from the PSU. Also, in the past few days while playing games, my mouse and keyboard will lose power for about 2 seconds before turning back on.

  • OS - Windows 8.1 Pro
  • BIOS Version - American Megatrends Inc. 0817 9/10/2012

  • RAM - 10 GB ram, 2x4 and 2x1, not sure what kind
  • GPU - 2 Crossfired Radeon R9 290x's
  • HDD - 256 GB Harddrive, not sure what type
  • PSU - EVGA Supernova 1000 g2, not sure how old

Try making sure that all the cables in your computer are plugged in properly (not only from the PSU, but also to all your components).

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
