 reinstalled windows and it somehow got to a technical preview without my product key...

i wqas on windows 7 ultimate... but my 10 started acting up not installing anything.

 

i cant get my key to work and i dont know what to do ... i tried calling microsoft they will only tell me to contact the manufactoer but i am not the orignal owner... i traded a laptop for this computer almsot a year ago.

You could try to recover the data from your formated c drive and then try to find the key with keyfinder.

 

Just to get you right, you wanted to upgrade to win 10 but the upgrade didnt start, so you formated your drive and reinstalled win 7?

Contact the Manufacturer.

 

The helpdesk person you speak with will not care, and just say 'it costs $20 or so for replacement media' or something. Just don't be a dick. Be kind and be honest. Back when I was helpdesk, you helped me/made my job easier, I sent you free stuff. you where a dick? i told you to fuck right off.

okay thank you is there a way to move all my media and games installs to my secondary hard drive while I'm at it so I dont have to redownload anything.

If your using Steam, just transfer the SteamApps folder to your second hard drive, and then put them back once your done and Steam should redetect all your games.

 

Also: Some of your game saves might be in your documents folder.
