This is electronics retail we're talking about. 90% of the people who walk through the door are absolutely clueless regarding anything, and if members of the public start acting is if they're working there, you have no idea what information is being spread. Doesn't matter if it's spot on or misleading. On top of that, it's highly disrespectful to do someone else's job. I work in pretty much the same environment and what OP is doing is frowned upon. The amount of customers I've had to correct due to such bullshit coming from other customers is insane. To be honest, the store manager should have every right to tell you to fuck off if you're doing that.

and yes the stores do have rules. Whether or not they enforce them is still up to the business. Why? because it's their business.
