Bluray player for windows

Hi guys,

 

Is there any player (free) for Bluray playback????  I have tried VLC and MPC. VLC can not play DTS HD sounds and some discs don't work with MPC.

PowerDVD does the job just fine, but that's not free.

 

Potplayer is said to support Blu-ray and is free, but it's from the people behind KMplayer so I expect OpenCandy and other nasty stuff.

I have spent the better part of the last year searching for the best way to play blurays on windows and after all that, I wish I had just bought PowerDvd.

The only free way I found to reliably watch my blurays for free was MakeMKV, rip them to the pc and then watch the resulting MKV file. I still like to rip them for consumption in my phone or tablet but if I just want to watch right away and not wait several hours, PowerDVD is worth it. I wish I bought it sooner.
