CX 750m not working.

A friend of mine recently got a CX 750m PSU and plugged all the cables in and tried to power on. No feedback. No lights, no power supply fan spinning. Whats go on?

Nope. Just asked him and he said a light came on on his gpu?

Honestly a CX 750M wouldn't really be worse than a 600B. The CX 750M doesn't have the typical 30C problem

I'd contact Corsair and tell them about it, might replace it with a better one. Or just simply get a better power supply. CX PSU's aren't really meant for heavy build logs.

it does - still 30*C temps tolerance. 850 is 35*C i think

Short explanation as to why these PSUs are generally not recommended: The CX600 and below have an ambient temp tolerance of 30C which is extremely poor, especially if you live in a hot climate. The PSU will soon shut off after breaching much more than this temperature. The CX750 and above do not have this issue as they are rebrands of the Corsair GS series HOWEVER they are quite overpriced when much better EVGA/Antec/Seasonic/XFX/etc units exist at lower price points.

Corsair didn't do much to the boxes apart from change the specs and model listed on it. I've had my CX850M go past 60^oC (lets just say that the case while supporting ATX boards, wasn't really designed for a CPU over 40W, let alone an i5 4440 and GTX 970).
