Hi guys,

I've gotten an HPxw4600 workstation.

I've put it my own powersupply Corsair 650W and own graphics card. Asus 8500GT.

After pressing the power button, the following happens

- The GPU fan is at max speed, chasis & cpu fan spinning slowly.

- the chassis and cpu fan MAX OUT, and blow like jet turbines, and continue to do so forever.

- NO POST. At all.

Taking out the ram, makes it beep  xD.

Any ideas wtf is wrong?

Motherboard power stuff it's all connected?

I have some of those things. Bit of an old beast with a 3.0ghz core2duo. Look up an image of the 6600 and you will start to drool.

Yeah, hoping to get this one working. Paired with 8800 GTX, it could be a decent gaming Machine. I'm doing this cause I want my mom to be able to play Tomb Raider 2013. Can't afford much currently, and it's for free. Old company PC.

Seen that happen alot in screwd PSU's.

PSU is confirmed working in another pc :o

do the problems persist if you put the old power supply back in?

Don't have the old one, it got stolen out of it xD

What 650 watt Corsair PSU? They've got a few of them

TX650W confirmed, does it matter though?

because its a CX psu.

It's  TX. And it's confirmed working.

Installed a Core2Quad instead of the Core2Duo inside, still same problem.
