What motherboard are you using and what OS? 

Rampage 4 extreme Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

Have you installed the proper drivers?

Yup! Definitely make sure you install your motherboard USB 3 drivers, they are on the disc you got with your motherboard or you can find them online.

It worked apparently I had out dated drivers or something
