No, lies, 390X is worse then the 980. The Fury competes with the 980, the 390X is between the 970 and 980

Might want to want pascal. 1440 is still very difficult to run.

I run BF4 at 1440p 100 fps on my 980 Its more then sufficient for 1440p.

does your bud already have the monitor? 1080p is much easier to run :)

The only setting that isnt maxed is MSAA at 2x

Yes at ultra, BF4 is VERY well optimized. I have no problem running at a mix of high/ultra 60+ fps on my 290 at 4k. 

That being said, it shouldn't be a testament to whether or not something will do well at a certain resolution. The game is two years old...
